| Welcome to Mt Paul |
Mt Paul is a 1200 acre property in the centre of the Freycinet Peninsula offering event venues for both formal and informal functions, together with accommodation in cabins and a standing camp. Thanks in large part to a grant from Tourism Tasmania, Mt Paul has recently constructed 'The Arc' - a truly wild with style function venue on a site offering panoramic views of the Freycinet Peninsula. The Arc provides dining facilities for a group of up to 120 in a function room measuring 180 square metres, together with a commercial kitchen, and toilets. In a separate location there is also 'The Refectory Barn', a purpose built facility bringing together old world charm with modern functionality to provide a unique setting for special rustic dining events of up to 40 people. Nearby is a fire pit with seating around it, and a deck offering a setting for ceremonies with the back drop of the Swan River Estuary and Great Oyster Bay - particularly spectacular at sunset. Adjoining these facilities is a standing camp consisting of twelve canvass 2 man tents which, together with toilets and hot showers, provides accommodation for 24 people. Saltwater Shack and two purpose built cabins called "The Lodges" provide additional accommodation on Mt Paul for up to 8 guests or event organisers. Nearby in the coastal village of Swanwick there is self catering accommodation available for up to 100 people, and the resorts of The Edge of the Bay and Freycinet Lodge, together with cabins and camping areas at Iluka Holiday Park in Coles Bay provide a range of accommodation for differing tastes and budgets. At Mt Paul orienteering is available for clients, and within the Freycinet area there is a range of activities including bushwalking, sea kayaking, nature cruises, diving, rock climbing, quad biking, penguin and dolphin tours, swimming, surfing, golf, great ocean and river fishing, or simply enjoying the wines, the fine foods, and the wildlife. Mt Paul is a registered Land For Wildlife property, and is a member of Wildlife Tourism Australia. |
